The Magic Kingdom theme park in Disney World Florida is without question one of the most magical places on earth and whether you are a young child, a middle aged woman or an old man, you will absolutely adore this theme park. I have been several times with my buddy Charles Bishop Pompano Beach Florida native and all round Disney lover and each time I go, I cannot get enough. I love Disney World on the whole and the adrenalin fueled rides of Epcot always thrill me, with that being said, there is nothing quite like the Magic Kingdom to bring out the inner child. If you are going this year to the Magic Kingdom here are my favorite three rides which I think you should go on.
Space Mountain
If I were you I would either use one of your FastPasses on Space Mountain or get there as soon as you enter the park to have a go on this legend of a rollercoaster. Despite the fact that Space Mountain has been in Disney World forever, it does not seem like it at all and it is every bit as fun ands exciting as you think it is going to be. The ride pretty much starts in the queue as you are taken through tunnels and stairs filled with space scenery and you can even play on some cool 80s retro space games as you wait. Once you hit the ride you fly through the darkness dodging planets and stars on your rocket ship, a sensational ride.
Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain is another ride which has been at the park for a long time and to be honest, there is no reason to change it. Like with Space Mountain, you will have to get in early for this one as queues can grow up to 3 hours long. Sit with your friends and family in side a log flume and as you slowly creep up to the top of the mountain you start to see the epic drop below you before whoosh, you fly down through the slide before crashing in to the water and getting soaked, a perfect log flume.
Thunder Railroad Train
The Thunder Railroad train is located right next to Splash Mountain and in my view it is better than the far more popular Seven Dwarves Mine Train. The wait in the queue for this one can get pretty long but it is well worth it once you jump on that runaway train and are catapulted through a gold mine, swerving and turning as you dip above and below the ground, screaming all the way. This ride is actually one of the longest in the park too so you can really get good value for it. Make some time to spend up in Tomorrowland where you will find both Splash Mountain and this brilliant runway train.
